Day 1 Wednesday 7th November 2012
Fly into Cairns international or domestic airport.We will be there to collect you and transport you to the picturesque Cairns waterfront overlooking the azure waters of the Coral Sea. Once we’ve checked you in your first day is just a chance to unwind. Maybe a stroll along the esplanade or just a relax by the pool.
Day 2 Thursday 8th November 2012
You’ll need a break after your trip so we’ll leave you alone to explore and take it easy. But if you want some excitement let us know and we can organize the perfect tour.
Day 3 Friday 9th November 2012
Today will be truly memorable aboard our cruise boat to one of the wonders of the world – the Great Barrier Reef. A day full of snorkeling or scuba diving awaits you on this perfect day. Lunch and all equipment is included in your Eclipse Festival Package.
Back on land and the evening is all yours with a chance to visit one of Cairns fantastic restaurants and really finish off a wonderful day in style.
Day 4 Saturday 10th November 2012
Put your feet up and take it easy. That’s what we do in Far North Queensland. You could read a book, have a massage or fold into a hammock. If you want excitement just let us know and we’ll do the rest.
There’s so much to do and we will help with whatever you wish. Fishing, shopping, skydiving, helicopter flights………we can organize all this and much more.
For dinner we are hosting you at a magnificent Cairns waterfront restaurant where you will be wined and dined – a truly memorable experience.
Day 5 Sunday 11th November 2012
Today we’re heading up to the Port Douglas Markets. The drive is beautiful and the cotter’s market features local arts, crafts, massage and tropical fruits for the table. After this delightful morning please join us at the Central Hotel for great music and even better company in the famous Sunday Session.
Day 6 Monday 12th November 2012
The word for this rainforest experience is awesome. The Skyrail is an engineering marvel that takes you to the canopy of the oldest rainforest on earth. As you stop off on your way our expert tour guides will keep you informed so that you can really appreciate the wonder of this unique experience.
The village of Kuranda is famous for its markets, but take time to visit the butterflies and some of our other furry and feathery friends.
And to finish the day you will come down the mountainside over Barron and Stoney Creek Falls and through amazing hand hewn tunnels on the truly incredible Kuranda Scenic Railway. It will be just a perfect day.
Day 7 Tuesday 13th November 2012
You can’t come to the far north and not spend time exploring Cairns. There is so much on offer so what we are going to do is give you all the information and then let you loose. A full day, but you’ll love it.
Day 8 Wednesday 14th November 2012
An early start awaits you on this the day of the Total Solar Eclipse.
Transferred by coach to Wangetti Beach you will have one of the best seats in the world to see this unique phenomenon.
As you will watch the sun rise, first light, then the passing of the moon as it meets the sun there is no doubt spines will tingle and goose bumps will form.
For breakfast we go literally across the road to Hartley’s Crocodile Adventure Park. Breakfast, crocodile tours, snake shows….and a chance to freshen up before we take you back into Cairns for your trip home or onto further holiday adventures.
